Child & Adolescent Psychologist Graduate Program
Melbourne and Geelong Private Practice

We are looking for motivated and passionate early career psychologists (<3 years post-general registration) who will thrive working in our collaborative, client-centred, child and adolescent private practice at either Melbourne (Werribee) or Geelong (Belmont).

The Hopscotch & Harmony Psychologist Graduate Program is a 24-month immersion with opportunities to be involved in every aspect of working as a paediatric psychologist in private practice.

This opportunity is for psychologists with general registration who have excelled in their post-graduate program and are now ready to dive in deep to private practice. This role is for psychologists who wish to gain deeper knowledge and experience working with young people from 4 to 18 years and their families.

This exciting program presents a range of learning opportunities to maximise professional and personal development, including:​​

• Exposure and support with a variety of child psychology presentations
• Provision of targeted professional development and e-learning 
• Development of strong skills in four key areas of child psychology
• Regular mentoring, feedback and individualised development plan
• Time management & caseload management support to boost your confidence and capabilities
• Community engagement activities to learn how private practitioners work with the wider community

​You'll emerge from the program with strong clinical skills and confidence to either step up in to a new role at Hopscotch & Harmony or meet a new challenge that comes your way.This position is perfect for you if you:

• Have a solid foundation of clinical skills that you have developed through your placements or early career experience

Graduate Program Details

Applications open year round. So don't delay! 

Work from either our Geelong or Werribee clinics.

Receive mentoring and training to develop a strong foundation in four key areas:

• Child anxiety
• Trauma
• Relationship-based Parenting
• Autism and ADHD assessment

After your three month orientation and training period, you will see an average of 20 clients a week and be involved in some of the following (depending on your personal and professional interests):

• ​Assessment opportunities (Psycho-ed, Autism, ADHD)
• Facilitation of small group programs
• Facilitation of parent workshops/seminars
• Online program development
• Professional development activities
• Relationship building activities
