Telehealth is the name we use for appointments that are online via videoconferencing. It's like Skype or Facetime but with a secure platform. You can have your session from the privacy of your own home. Your clinician may be at the clinic or in their own home office environment.
You will be sent a link by email and your session would proceed at your appointment time by clicking that link from your device.
How is Telehealth billed?
Telehealth sessions are billed at the same price as your standard appointment and payment will be taken prior to the appointment time.
Private Health Insurance - please check with your insurer to ascertain if Telehealth sessions can be claimed under your policy. Your invoice will be emailed to you to allow you to claim.
Medicare - Medicare rebates are available for Telehealth appointments with a valid G.P. referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan or Chronic Disease Management Plan.
NDIS - Telehealth sessions are covered by NDIS and will be billed in the same way as usual.
Who can use Telehealth services?
Older children, teens and adults can have therapy sessions via Telehealth.
My young child needs therapy. Can we use Telehealth?
Yes! Our Principal Psychologist, Tamsyn White has written a great piece that can help you understand what a Telehealth appointment looks like for children. READ HERE For very young children, we may recommend that Telehealth sessions be held with yourself.
If you are a current client your clinician will work with you to guide you on how best to support your child to work towards their therapy goals.
