New client?

Are we the right practice for you?
Our current team consists of Psychologists and Occupational Therapists. We are also looking to welcome a new Dietitian to our team.
Our psychologists have a strong interest in mental health difficulties such as anxiety, depression, stress and emotion dysregulation (such as anger management difficulties) and support children, teens and adults.
Psychology is a complex and diverse area with many sub-areas. Although we wish we could cater for all presentations, unfortunately the services we offer depends on the training and professional experience of our current team members.
It is important that you know what we are able to offer and what we cannot before giving us confidential information and taking the time to complete our booking form.
At this point in time we cannot accept referrals for complex developmental disabilities, eating disorders, complex issues arising from family separation and/or violence, court and forensic issues. Other services may better serve your needs in these areas due to the specialised skillset and experience required to support you.
Fees
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, new clients will be offered an appointment via Telehealth which is online therapy. You can attend the appointment from your home or another private place. We will guide you through the process. Our fees are between $150 and $250 per appointment depending on the clinician, which is lower than the private practice fee recommended by the Australian Psychology Society. Medicare rebates are available for Telehealth sessions.
PLEASE NOTE: We are not currently providing in-clinic sessions. We are currently 100% Telehealth until further notice.
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if you have a G.P. referral. You can expect to be out of pocket between $120-$170 per appointment depending on the clinician you see. Sometimes clients are told that we are a free service if they have a Mental Health Treatment Plan or other referral from the doctor. This is not the case.
Consent for services
Our experience tells us that we have better outcomes for child clients when we have consent from both parents. For this reason, although either parent can initiate booking a session for their child, we will seek the consent of the second parent before commencing with the child for therapeutic or assessment services. If we do not have consent form the second parent we may not be able to proceed with the service.
