Provisional Psychologist Internship

Hopscotch and Harmony offers a 12 month paid position (0.8 eft) for Provisional Psychologists who are completing their Master in Professional Psychology, 6th year internship. We offer some 0.6 EFT roles as well. These positions offer opportunities across the lifespan, however the focus is child and adolescent clients and their parents. 

Our interns maintain an individual caseload which requires a certain amount of skill and experience coming in to this program. We provide an above award salary, additional leave, primary and secondary supervision, a structured three month training program to get you started, ample PD, peer support and case conferences.

These internship positions are suitable for candidates who have at least one placement or equivalent experience counselling children and/or adolescents, have the confidence to conduct an intake appointment and know how to plan and implement a psychological intervention. 

Our intern program is not the best option if you haven't yet had these experiences. If this is you then we recommend you seek an internship that can provide a higher level of training and building of fundamental skills, prior to your entry into private practice. We would then encourage you to apply for our Graduate Program which is open to registered early career psychologists up to 2 years post general registration.

Remuneration package $80,000 (Full-time equivalent, including superannuation and supervision allowance)
