On occasion Hopscotch and Harmony offers a 12 month paid position for Provisional Psychologists who are completing their Master in Professional Psychology 6th year internship. These positions offer opportunities across the lifespan, with an emphasis on child and adolescent psychology and NDIS clients.
Our interns maintain an individual caseload which requires a certain amount of skill and experience coming in to this program. We provide secondary supervision, PD, peer support and case conferences. However, these internship positions are only suitable for candidates who have experience with children under the age of 10, can conduct an intake appointment and know to plan and implement a psychological intervention. Our intern program is not the best option if you haven't yet had these experiences. If this is you then we recommend you seek an internship that can provide a higher level of training and building of fundamental skills, prior to your entry into private practice. We would then encourage you to apply for your Graduate Program which is open to registered early career psychologists. Register InterestPsst... did you know we have a salaried graduate program for early career psychologists with general registration? Be sure to keep this in mind for when you have completed your studies and are approaching full registration! |
