3 to adult for Parent/Caregiver Forms; 3 to 21 for Teacher Form Completion Time 10 minute questionnaire Overview The Vineland Adaptive Behaviour Scales, 3rd edition, measures three domains (Communication, Daily Living Skills, Socialisation) that correspond to the three broad domains of adaptive functioning specified by the DSM-5. Scales for Motor Skills, and Maladaptive Behaviour may also be evaluated. There is a parent/carer form and a teacher form. |
Psychologists use the Vineland-3 to help:
- Measure an individual’s daily functioning
- Measure deficits in adaptive behaviour
- Inform autism spectrum disorder diagnosis
- Meets DSM-5 requirements for diagnosing intellectual disability
- Provide an indication of support needs for the NDIS
- Progress monitoring and program planning
