Seeking help when we need it can be difficult especially when it is with someone we don’t know. In my sessions with you I ensure that we are creating an environment that feels both comfortable for you and make therapy a positive experience. During sessions I ensure that you and your child feel heard and that we are working together to meet your and your child’s goals whatever that might be. I ensure that the space is warm and empathetic and believe that therapy should also offer your child some level of enjoyment where possible. I have spent many years working with children and have developed an ability to teach them many things while including play. Each and every one of us have our strengths and challenges that are unique to us.
During sessions we will work together using you and your child’s strengths to help develop skills to overcome the challenges that are being faced. |
My therapy draws from various evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also draw on my past experience working with children and their families.
When I’m not at work I am often taking my dog for walks, snuggling up with a good book or playing many different board games.
