Feeding Difficulties Workshop
Shu-Lin Pook, Paediatric Dietitian, and Jessica Cleary, Psychologist, are coming together to provide a workshop on Feeding Difficulties especially for parents and caregivers
Shu-Lin will provide information on the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to feeding. This approach is a systematic way of empowering a parent to understand and respond to feeding difficulties their child may present with. It is a whole-child approach which takes into account sensory and motor development, organ systems and oral-motor, learnt behaviour, nutrition and environmental factors.
Jessica will provide support in how to manage your own stress around meal times and to support children through any anxiety they may have around eating.
We support and promote an approach to feeding which helps your child feel comfortable throughout the eating process. No more force feeding or threats around eating.
