My name is Renee and I am a registered psychologist who is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of my clients to improve their quality of life. I take a non-judgemental approach as a psychologist to create an open, friendly and safe space for us to work through the purpose of your appointments, whether that be for an assessment or counselling.

Something I have learned from my clients is that the hardest part of seeing a psychologist can be booking that first appointment. So you know what to expect, during my first appointment with a client we discuss what has brought you to see me, such as a psychological assessment or counselling for anxiety, depression or some other reason. I will also guide you to talk about your life, or your child's life, so I can get a better understanding of your story. Once I have all the information I need and have answered any questions you might have (to the best of my ability), we can work together to achieve your individual needs. My hope is that although assessments and counselling can take some time, that you leave feeling more hopeful after coming to see me than when you arrived.
In my professional life I have worked with children, adolescents and adults in a variety of settings including private practices, community organisations and educational settings such as with the Department of Education and within schools. I have been trained in evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
As well as being a member of staff at Hopscotch and Harmony, I am currently completing a working placement as part of my continued education in clinical psychology. This means that although I am already a registered psychologist, I am currently receiving additional supervision by clinical psychologist and board-approved supervisor Danielle Graber to advance my knowledge and skill set as a psychologist.
