Mental health is something that we all experience, at times we need a helping hand to overcome difficult barriers. Making the decision to ask for help can be a challenge within itself.
My intention is to create a safe environment for my clients to feel truly themselves, to release barriers and feel heard. I use a collaborative and person-centred approach to assist individuals towards their goals, where I see each client as the expert of their own life.
Working also as a yoga teacher, I have a passion in mindfulness based practices, meditation and Eastern philosophy. I use a holistic approach to tailor each client's needs, and draw on evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness based Counselling skills.
Coming from the United Kingdom, I have experience in a variety of workplace settings including the National Health Service, hospitals, disability services and private clinics. I have experience in working across the lifespan with a wide variety of presentations including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, and I've also supported autistic individuals.
I am interested in fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship with each individual to listen to their journey and assist each client to facilitate change. I consider it a privilege to work in this field and feel grateful to each client I meet. I look forward to offering you a warm welcome into Hopscotch and Harmony very soon.
