As an Occupational Therapist at Hopscotch & Harmony I work with toddlers, children, adolescents and their families to increase their independence in childhood occupations to enable participation in daily living skills as well as improve physical and mental development.
Some children face challenges with routine management, or with daily living skills such as playing, dressing, feeding, toileting, socialising, communicating and schooling. If your child has difficulty with one or more of these tasks, then assistance from an Occupational Therapist could make a world of difference to your family dynamic and functioning.
I am a positive, compassionate and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist with a passion for child health, wellbeing and development. I work hard to draw on the child’s interests and strengths to ensure they feel safe, understood and engaged throughout their therapy sessions. Each session is individualised and designed to include fun activities that work to improve specific skills and achieve personalised goals for your child.
My approach as an Occupational Therapist is strengths-based and when working with children, I aim to empower them to build self-belief, determination and confidence through fun, interactive, evidence-based interventions. I also draw on the importance of family-centred practice and build a close partnership with families, schools and community groups to provide continuous education, support and strategies to achieve realistic goals for the child.
I work on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and look forward to meeting with you and your child to positively influence their health, wellbeing and happiness and improve their engagement in everyday life.
