I am passionate about supporting people experiencing crisis to find peace in their lives. My intention is to create a safe environment where you or your child can feel heard to explore your situation and feelings.
I use a client centred, collaborative approach to guide you toward your goals, bringing with me key skills of listening, empathy, and compassion. I have over ten years’ experience as a meditation and yoga therapist, and have worked with people experiencing physical and mental crisis, across the lifespan. During this time, I have used mindfulness-based stress reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and relaxation tools to help clients reduce their anxiety and depression and encourage them to identify and harness their own strengths towards wellness. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, across a range of environments, including classrooms, individual sessions, and small groups. I have also supported children, adolescents, and their families, when neurodiversity is a factor. I will always bring a focus on developing a positive and trusting therapeutic alliance with you. In addition, I have considerable personal and professional experience in and commitment to supporting people experiencing chronic and acute physical illness and trauma. I will be there with you to help navigate the uncertainties, emotions and anxieties that arise from a significant diagnosis or ongoing illness. Qualifications
