Making the decision to see a mental health clinician can be pretty daunting. My goal is to provide you with a supportive, non-judgemental and welcoming space in which we can work together. Collaboratively, we can develop a better understanding of the difficulties you’re facing, and establish helpful strategies in a safe, supportive way that is evidence-based and tailored to your individual needs.
I am experienced in providing person-centred counselling for a range of difficulties including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, challenging behaviour in children and adolescents and developmental concerns, grief and loss, low self-esteem and stress-related impacts on emotional and psychological wellbeing. I am particularly interested in early intervention for children and adolescents, support for alcohol- and other drug-related problems, depression, anxiety and trauma. I can provide you with therapeutic assessment and intervention using approaches that are based on cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), psychodynamic and family systems approaches, and mindfulness. I’m passionate about supporting emotional and psychological wellbeing for people of all ages in a manner that is needs-specific, and culturally appropriate. When I’m not working with clients I’m most at home at the beach, on the tennis court, cooking dinners and working in the garden, or just enjoying a great coffee and a chat down at the café.
