2019 - not seeing clients in a 1:1 setting
“Being a psychologist is more than just providing support to young children and adolescents. I have learnt that every little human is unique in their own awesome way. I aim to create a safe space where young people can feel empowered to achieve whatever they define as success. The world deserves to have more Super Men and Wonder Women.
Children and adolescents are a wonderful age group to work with as they are forever changing and moulding into the best version of themselves. However, it is during this time that they can experience many challenges that they are not yet emotionally developed to work through rationally and positively on their own. I can help navigate these challenges and ensure that during this difficult time the young person and their family can feel supported.
I believe the success to a fantastic therapeutic relationship is rapport. I pride myself on the working relationships I have with young people. I offer a kind, empathetic and passionate approach to my sessions. Each session I strive to breakdown the challenges faced by the young person and their family by providing one-on-one support, strategies and tools to assist with day to day living, manage relationships, problem solving, and assist in acting appropriately and dealing with feelings.
I have gained invaluable experience working with young people through my position as a psychologist within a school. I have learnt that a positive counselling experience can bring hope to young people and their families to overcome all kinds of adversity."
