Sometimes asking for help can be the most difficult, yet bravest decision you can make.
Indya is a Mental Health Clinician (awaiting Provisional Psychology registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency). She has gained experience from her work in educational settings and community-based organisations and early-intervention programs. Indya approaches therapy in a way that helps her clients feel understood, valued and empowered. She seeks to understand an individual's inner experience and works with them collaboratively towards their treatment goals. With a special interest in supporting adolescents and young adults, Indya gravitates towards a strength-based approach focusing on an individual's inner resources to assist them in building their overall wellbeing, self-esteem as well as develop insight into their own patterns of thinking and behaviour. She has experience providing counselling and psychological support to individuals who present with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social skill development as well as school and work-related stress. Indya incorporates treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. Additionally, she draws upon Positive Psychology principles and Mindfulness Based techniques. When Indya is not in the clinic, she enjoys training at the gym, running, spending time with family, reading a good book and drinking cappuccinos. Professional Highlights
