Ever since I attended my first psychology class, my interest in the way humans think, feel, and behave grew immensely. I have a special interest in supporting children and adolescents focusing on using a strength-based approach.
I have experience providing counselling and psychological support to young people who present with stress and anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social skills, and emotional regulation difficulties.
I aim to create a warm and safe environment where the client feels supported and understood. To accomplish this, I will also work closely with the young person and their parents or carers to set goals, discover the young person's strengths, and develop coping strategies to support well-being.
I incorporate treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and other therapeutic approaches.
I have recently completed my journey through Psychology at La Trobe University, where I completed my Master of Professional Psychology. My experience comes from my work in educational settings, employment assistant programs, and community-based organisations.
In my spare time, I spend time at the gym lifting weights with my husband and spending time with my family (and drinking a lot of coffee!).
