Beth Beaumont
BOccThy Occupational Therapist “As an Occupational Therapist at Hopscotch and Harmony I work with toddlers, children and adolescents in collaboration with their families to increase independence and enable participation in activities of daily life.
Those that have met me would say I am a positive, warm and optimistic Occupational Therapist with a passion for child health, wellbeing and participation advocacy. I work hard to ensure the children I work with feel safe, understood and engaged in the unique therapy sessions, designed to cater to their personal strengths and challenges. My main aim is to build insight within the children I work with, so with time and effort they can see their inner potential; this is one of the most rewarding parts of my job. My approach to working with children is strengths-based and draws on both person and family-centred goals to build a child’s self-belief, determination and confidence through fun, interactive and evidence-based interventions. Whilst building a close partnership I will work with families, schools and community groups to develop positive, clear and above all realistic goals for children to achieve. If you find yourself fighting in a losing battle in routine management, or with skills such as dressing, feeding, socialising, communicating or behavioural regulation, then some assistance from occupational therapy can make a world of difference to your family dynamic and functioning. Working within the kind, compassionate and driven team and Hopscotch and Harmony, I will endeavour to positively influence the health, wellbeing and happiness of your child to improve their engagement in everyday life.
