Occupational Therapist
Belmont: Thursday & Friday
“I am a compassionate, down to earth and driven occupational therapist who strives to achieve the best results for clients. My love for working with children is motivated by my understanding of the important links between childhood participation in occupations and their physical and mental development.
Playing, feeding, dressing, grooming, toileting, schooling, routine management and transitioning are all common activities or “occupations” that children continuously engage in. If you identify that your child is facing challenges in their daily routine activities, occupational therapy services could be highly beneficial for you.
The aim of my therapy is to draw on a child’s interests and strengths and engage them in graded activities that work to improve specific skills and areas of development. I will design a fun and creative learning environment, specifically personalised to the needs of your child and family, so the appropriate 'just right' challenge can be set and collaborative goals achieved.
I have a strong passion to empower children to reach their full potential. I also firmly believe in the importance of family centred practice and endeavour to provide continuous education, support and strategies so a trusted therapeutic relationship with parents is established and maintained.
Being a firm advocate for life-long learning, I advance my skills and knowledge with regular involvement in professional development opportunities to ensure recent evidence based practice is incorporated into my therapy sessions.
